Uptown Denver is home to some of the best eating and drinking establishments in the city. While most Uptown Denver restaurants tend to be on the more modern side, there is a variety of eateries that serve traditional food in a ‘no frills’ environment. Whatever type of eating experience you’re looking for, here’s where to eat and drink in Uptown.
Steuben’s is everything you could want in a classic diner, with a fun western twist. Think meatloaf, fried chicken, and pot roast, each served with creamy mashed potatoes. In addition to reinvented diner classics, the menu features a special daily entrée and sandwich. Indulge in one of Steuben’s delicious shakes and add a little booze if you’re feeling like you could use an extra kick.
Beast + Bottle
Any time of day is a great time to eat at Beast + Bottle, one of the few farm-to-fork Uptown Denver restaurants that utilizes in-house butchery. However locals flock to the relaxed and upscale spot for its savory weekend brunch. The chicken and cherry sausage is a local favorite, as is the arctic char eggs benedict. Check out the flexible wine list and maybe even try something new – you can order wine by the glass, carafe, or bottle.
Work & Class
If a square meal, stiff drink, and fair price are what you’re after, look no further than Work & Class. The unpretentious eatery serves food that is inspired by both American and Latin cuisine. Throughout the year the chef changes up the menu to highlight seasonal ingredients and keep things fresh. From empanadas to fried catfish and a variety of wines, beers and cocktails, Work & Class has something for every taste.
Ace Eat Serve
Ace Eat Serve is the place to satisfy your craving for Asian cuisine. The restaurant consists of a large ping-pong hall, dining room overlooking the open kitchen and chef’s counter, and large indoor and outdoor bar and patio. Dig into inventive dishes like the tiger wings and prawn and lobster ramen. Quench your thirst with house-made sodas, Vietnamese iced coffee, sake, cocktails, and beer.
Park & Co
Connect with the downtown soul at Park & Co, an offshoot of the well-loved casual eatery, Park Burger. Park & Co serves up burgers, salads, sandwiches, and appetizers such as crispy brussel sprouts and stuffed tater tots. With 20 rotating craft beers on tap and several mule cocktails, you can find the perfect drink to wash it all down.
